A place of excellence, openness and creativity!
Founded in 1970, the IMEP (Royal Higher Institute of Music and Pedagogy), part of the Higher School of the Arts, is built on a tradition of excellence in pedagogy and artistic approach, promoting openness and creativity. IMEP trains instrumentalists and singers for careers as soloists or orchestral musicians, choir conductors, educators, and pop singers. The institute has introduced two unique programmes: music technology and lutherie. Singing is the cornerstone of the institute’s pedagogical tradition.
The annual public concert season at IMEP reflects an artistic and educational approach that breaks down barriers between different music styles. Its educational project, which respects the humanity of each individual, places the student at the heart of all its actions, preparing them to play a vital role in society.
“Practice at the heart of learning!”
